Phillips-Medisize wins sustainability honor

HUDSON, WIS. (Dec. 17, 2:15 p.m. ET) — Phillips-Medisize Corp. has received a Green Master distinction from the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council.

The Hudson-based injection molder and contract manufacturer performed actions in each of the nine sustainability areas and scored in the top 20 percent of all participating companies.

President and CEO Matt Jennings said Phillips-Medisize has implemented environmental improvement projects such as water reduction/re-use, energy improvements, waste reduction, hazardous waste elimination and coordinated engagement/involvement.

“We really appreciate this recognition and plan to continue to drive our sustainability efforts through operational improvements that are good for the environment,” he said in a Dec. 17 news release.
