SPOKANE, WASH. (Dec. 18, 11:50 a.m. ET) — Private equity firm Altamont Capital Partners has purchased Cascade Windows, a Spokane-based vinyl window fabricator.

Cascade has manufacturing plants in Spokane; Portland, Ore.; and Salt Lake City.

Randy Emerson, CEO of Cascade, said the deal “significantly improves” his company’s balance sheet, and will enable the firm to pursue growth opportunities.

Randall Eason, managing director of Palo Alto, Calif.-based Altamont said: “Randy and his team have done an excellent job of managing the business over the last several years in a difficult operating environment - this recapitalization will position the company to better serve its customers going forward. We are excited to support the company’s next stage of growth as the sector rebounds from an unprecedented downturn.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
