CoreTech System Co. Ltd., the Taiwanese company that makes MoldEx3D mold filling software for computer-aided engineering, announced that MoldEx3D has been integrated with the latest release of Siemens’ NX software.

Siemens AG’s software business unit has started distributing and supporting NX EasyFill Analysis globally with the release of NX 8.5.

“We are very happy to incorporate Mopldex3D filling analysis capabilities in NX to offer designers a more accessible and easy-to-use injection molding solution,” said Venny Yang, president of Moldex3D. The software helps designers predict and prevent manufacturing defects in the earliest design phase.

Jim Rusk, senior vice president of product engineering software at Siemens PLM Software, said MOldex3D helps customers “validate designs upfront and solve design bottlenecks.”

NX users can visualize molding factors and evaluate issues such as sink marks, over-packing, thermal displacement and part shrinkage.

The Moldex3D North Americs sales and support center is in Northville, Mich.
