Engel Austria GmbH of Schwertberg, Austria, sold its 1,500th injection press to Lego A/S, the construction toy manufacturer based in Billund, Denmark.

The relationship spans four decades. Today, Engel reports, about half of the 1,500 total presses are still running in Lego plants.

Lego molds the toys on Engel injection presses at plants in Denmark, Hungary and Mexico.

“Like the Lego Group, we are a family business and decisions are made swiftly and efficiently,” said Christian Pum, Engel sales director.
