GARDNER, MASS. (Dec. 20, 12:15 p.m. ET) – Nypro Inc. and Mount Wachusett Community College are using skill-assessment tools from Scientific Management Techniques Inc. to help solve a manufacturing skills shortage.

Clinton, Mass.-based Nypro is administrating mechanical, electrical and PLC skills assessments to workers and using the data to identify training programs, which will be delivered by the Gardner-based community college.

“With this data, we will deliver highly targeted skills training for the manufacturing workforce. Post-training assessments are used to quantify the effectiveness of delivered training and provide data used to determine the ROI of the training investment for each organization,” said Jacqueline Belrose, vice president of lifelong learning and workforce development at MWCC, in a news release.
