FRESNO, CALIF. (Dec. 20, 12:15 p.m. ET) — A fire ignited in a pile of plastic waste has caused $2.5 million worth of damage at a plastics recycling plant south of Fresno, Calif., the Fresno Bee reported.
The fire destroyed a 90-foot by 40-foot metal building used by Tuff Stuff Products for shredding and compacting plastic waste, the newspaper reported. Firefighters battled the blaze for more than five hours, and no one was injured in the fire, the newspaper reported.
