MUMBAI, INDIA (Dec. 28, 12:55 p.m. ET) — The Plastivision India 2013 trade show will add a concurrent show for manufacturers of finished plastic products, modeled after China’s Canton Fair.

The All India Plastic Manufacturers Association, organizers of Plastivision, said the “Plastic World” portion will help widen the trade show’s scope. Plastivision is held once every three years; the next one is scheduled for Dec. 12-16 in Mumbai.

Areas of focus will include plastics in agriculture, construction, health care, automobiles, engineering and housewares, according to Jayesh Rambhia, AIPMA projects chairman.

“The idea is to increase awareness about finished plastic products and new applications in industry leading to the growth of the sector,” Rambhia said.
