German compounder adds Coperion twin-screws

FBW GmbH, a compounder in Neiderzier, Germany, has started running two STS 35 advanced standard twin-screw compounding lines from Coperion GmbH.

The machines are equipped with screws of 35 millimeters in diameter. The compounders are making high-grade pigment and additive masterbatches, mainly in small- and medium-sized quantities, in sizes ranging from 55 to 660 pounds.

FBW also offers a special service to produce custom-compounded batch sizes of just 2.2 pounds, for new developments and pigmentation trials.

Coperion is based in Stuttgart, Germany. Its U.S. operation, Coperion Corp., is in Ramsey, N.J.
