New Macro division helps optimize production

Blown film equipment maker Macro Engineering & Technology Inc. has created a Technology Division to help film and sheet extruders improve their operations through a range a consultation and service-based products.

The division’s services include comprehensive system audits on any film or sheet extrusion system or winding operation, system retrofit services and troubleshooting.

The offerings are not limited to Macro-built equipment.

Macro has restructured to put its R&D Group within the Technology Division, to help processors develop new products such as multilayer film structures or create new processing methods to obtain desired properties.

The new division is headed up by Felix Guberman, Macro’s technology director.

Macro runs a Film Development Centre at company headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario.
