Torinova srl has successfully tested a Coex bubble 10 3.100, a 10-layer line for bubble wrap that can produce more than 90 meters (297 feet) per minute.

The line can product a film bubble of up to 122 inches wide in very low thickness. The 10-layer structure allows the integration of an air-tight, Nylon-PA6 barrier to give longer bubble air-retention even at greatly reduced thicknesses.

The patented rewinder, Triplex Plus, is based on a three-cantilever shaft configuration that allows extremely fast changes, Torinova said.

A new transversal cutting system allows film to be wound without glue or adhesive tape on the core.

Torinovia is based in Perugia, Italy.
