SANFORD, MAINE (Jan. 7, 2 p.m. ET) — Maine Manufacturing LLC has acquired a line of lab products from GE Healthcare.

Terms were not disclosed.

The products acquired were previously developed by Schleicher & Schuell and have been marketed under the Whatman brand since 2006.

The deal “fits very nicely” with another recent acquisition, of the GE Osmonics filter and membrane business, Bill Emhiser, president of Maine Manufacturing, said in a news release.

Sanford-based makes specialty products for precision-molded plastic, filtration, membrane and biological technologies.
