WASHINGTON (Jan. 9, 3 p.m. ET) — Two people associated with the Environmental Industry Associations trade group have been named to the U.S. Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee.

Janice Comer Bradley, EIA executive vice president of the group’s Waste Equipment Technology Association, and Ronald J. McCracken, a trustee of the EIA, both join the committee that advises the federal government on exports of environmental technologies, goods and services.

“The solid waste and recycling industry has revolutionized the management of waste and recyclables in the United States through the use of innovative technologies,” said McCracken in a statement. “We are helping the Department of Commerce identify these technologies for export assistance.”

“EIA’s mission is to promote the North American waste and recycling industries, serve as their voice and create a climate where members prosper and provide safe, economically sustainable and environmentally sound services. This includes being part of the national export initiates for our industry where appropriate,” Bradley added in a statement.

Along with his work with the EIA, McCracken also is principal at RJM Associates, a marketing, strategy, business and relationship-development firm focused on the waste industry.

The trade advisory committee is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
