Cinpres Gas Injection Ltd. and Matsui Mfg. Co. Ltd. are teaming to promote the Rapid Heat Cycle Molding process, or RHCM in North America.

By controlling the mold cavity pressure using steam heat, the process allows the molding of plastic parts with very high cosmetic appearance, eliminating weld-lines and knit-lines and sink marks.

Officials of the companies, and the inventor of the technology, are touring the United States to show the technology to key people in the design community, especially in automotive.

The other partner is Crest Mold Technology Inc. in Oldcastle, Ontario.

Cinpres provides the complete system, including steam generation, the Matsui controller, implementation and support.

Cinpres Gas Injection Inc., the U.S. operation, is based in Whitmore Lake, Mich.
