VISTA, CALIF. -- Turn-key contract manufacturer and injection molder Integra Biotechnical LLC completed the relocation of its Tijuana, Mexico, maquiladora into larger quarters in the city, just two miles from its former site.

Integra Biotechnical SA de CV handles assembly, packaging and sterilization management services for medical-device and pharmaceutical product manufacturers.

The new 69,000-square-foot Tijuana site has a Class 8 clean room of 26,000 square feet. The maquiladora had been at its previous location since 1997, where it operated out of several buildings with a total of 65,000 square feet.

Production at the new site began in August and the relocation and ramp-up were completed by January.

Integra has a 20,000-square-foot warehouse and logistics facility at its Vista headquarters and injection molding in Carlsbad, Calif.

Integra Biotechnical is a division of holding company Providien LLC of Scottsdale, Ariz. Providien acquired controlling interest in Integra in September 2011.
