MILAN, ITALY -- Italian machinery trade association Assocomaplast reports that ISO, the international standards body, has named a new technical committee, called 270 Plastics and Rubber Machines.

The committee held a kick-off meeting in Milan on Dec. 13. Delegations attending were China, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Eleven countries have joined as participating members.

The first working group will deal with safety requirements for injection molding machines.

Assocomaplast is based in Milan.
