Reis Robotics of Obernburg, Germany, presented a new laser welding robot and introduced the reisPAD, a portable teach pendant.
The RV60-26-FT can handle a big payload. You can set the focal point diameter of the lasers using the robot controller, so both “deep welding” and “heat conduction welding” can be done.
Applications include welding car bumpers and side walls for rail cars.
The reisPAD has a 10.4-inch touch display with big soft-key buttons. That design gives the advantages of a touch screen, but gives the physical feel.
