FORREST, ILL. — Selig Sealing Products Inc. has rebranded as Selig Group and is now organized into two business units.

The new name "represents the combined capabilities of the entire organization, all four manufacturing locations, all product lines and businesses," according to a news release from the Forrest, Ill., based company.

The Selig Liners division makes seals, liners and related products used in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetics markets. It includes plants in Forrest, Aurora, Ontario, and Slough, England.

Selig Flexibles, located in Niederglatt, Switzerland, makes flexible packaging for food, confectionary and dry beverage markets using lamination and rotogravure printing. It also manufactures engineered barrier laminates designed to protect highly sensitive products in military, pharmaceutical and other critical applications.

The Niederglatt facility will make products for both divisions.

Selig says it is the world's largest closure liner material manufacturer. The company is majority owned by private equity firm Behrman Capital of New York.
