Materials producer PolyOne Corp. of Avon Lake, Ohio, is releasing an app for iPad to help customers with product development and color selection.

OnColor Portfolio APP is available as a free download and brings mobile convenience to color development. Customers can evaluate color ideas, request color samples, submit custom color requests and easily connect to information about the firm’s color and additive technologies, PolyOne claims.

The app provides a color selector tool, a favorites area, ability to ask for custom colors and contact a PolyOne representative with a simple tap on the screen, and a resource library.

Mobile technology can expand the understanding of what is possible with colors and special effects at the earliest stages of development, according to PolyOne Color and Additives global marketing director Fernando Sanchez.

The new product can be downloaded from the App store using search term PolyOne OnColor.
