BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — Constantia Hueck Foils LLC, a flexible film and foil converter, is planning a $12 million expansion at its Blythewood, S.C., plant.
Constantia will break ground on the expansion, which includes a 15,000 square-foot addition and new equipment, in April and should be finished by October. The company plans to add 15 new jobs at the facility.
The plant makes custom packaging for the pharmaceutical and food industries, including packaging foils for blister packs and child-resistant packaging, and lids for portion controlled containers. It also offers laminating, coating, rotogravure printing and slitting services.
The Blythewood facility opened in 1997 and underwent expansions in 2001 and 2005.
The latest expansion will increase capacity and allow the company to better serve its customers, said Steve Godwin, president of Constantia Hueck, in a news release.
Godwin did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
Constantia Hueck is a division of Constantia Flexibles Group GmbH of Vienna, Austria.
