Ohio utilities offering incentives for saving energy

PolymerOhio reports that electric utilities across Ohio continue to adopt incentives for molders to adopt energy-efficient practices, like using all-electric injection molding machines.

One of the newest incentives, from AEP Ohio, will guarantee a cash incentive upfront, before any investment is made. The money is paid at the time of installation of the equipment, PolymerOhio said.

These incentives typically are 75 to 100 percent of one year's worth of energy savings, an amont that varies with the size of the machine being replaced, process rates and production hours.

PolymerOhio is in Westerville, Ohio.
