NPE ranked third-largest US manufacturing trade show

WASHINGTON — NPE2012 was the ninth-largest trade show produced in the United States during 2012 and the third-largest manufacturing show, according to a ranking from Trade Show News Network, an online resource.

According to TSNN, about 6,000 trade shows took place in the United States last year.

The annual Top 250 list is based on data from trade show managers and ranks shows in terms of net exhibit space. NPE2012 had 1,933 exhibitors on 939,972 square feet (87,326 square meters).

“NPE’s high rating reflects the importance of plastics to the world economy, as well as the importance of coming together to collaborate, innovate, and network,” said Gene Sanders, senior vice president of trade shows and conferences for the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc., in a news release.

NPE2015 will take place Monday through Friday, March 23-27, 2015, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
