RANKWEIL, AUSTRIA — Austrian injection molder Hirschmann Automotive GmbH has installed four new Ferromatik Milacron, part of an order of 13 Electra machines ranking from 1,100 to 1,550 metric tons of clamping force.
The delivery now gives Rankweil-based Hirschmann a total of 70 Ferromatik Milacron machines. The molder will use the equipment to produce connectors for the automotive industry.
Markus Welte, head of electrical system engineering at Hirschmann Automotive, said the firm chose Elektra machines for their energy efficiency and repeatability.
"Other benefits are how quietly the machines run, and how little space they take up," he said. "These make for a better production environment in our facilities."
