ROSWELL, GA. — Kimberly-Clark Professional, a division of personal care company that manufacturers contamination control products for laboratories and clean rooms, has partnered with recycling company TerraCycle to launch RightCycle, a recycling program for hard-to-recycle clean room waste such as gloves, hoods, boot covers and other protective clothing.

Boxes filled with recyclable items will be collected by TerraCycle and recycled into bulk plastic and other items, a Kimberly-Clark Professional news release indicates. The manufacturer has previously instituted recycling programs for single-use garments and nitrile gloves. Its parent, Kimberly-Clark Corp., has a goal to send zero manufacturing waste to landfills by 2015.

"Our customers have ambitious sustainability goals, yet often struggle with where and how to get started," Randy Kates, director of Global Scientific Business for Kimberly-Clark Professional, said in a statement. "We believe the most significant and enduring change occurs when team members are actively engaged in the solution. Our innovative RightCycle program offers a powerful and easy way for customers to exceed their solid waste reduction goals, while helping to make their workplaces healthier, safer and more productive."
