MUMBAI -- Rollepaal BV, a Dedemsvaart, Netherlands-based manufacturer of extrusion equipment for PVC and polyolefin pipe, is increasing capacity at its plant in Ahmedabad, India.

“We will triple our India plant capacity by the middle of 2014,” said Rob Spekreijse, managing director and CEO. The plant, opened in 2003, serves Indian, African and a few Asian markets.

Rollepaal provides foam core PVC pipe technology to Ahmedabad-based Astral Poly Technic Ltd. Late last year, it also introduced the technology in Indonesia.

The company also plans to add capacity for polyethylene pipe extruders at the plant, and for a multilayer pipe line designed to take advantage of the growing interest in recycling, he said. He did not provide a specific timeline.
