ERIE, PA. — Absolute Haitian Corp., the exclusive distributor of Haitian and Zhafir injection molding machines in the United States and Canada, has donated the use of a Haitian Mars press to Penn State Erie's Plastics Engineering Technology Laboratory.
The press is an MA 1200/410 A with 135 tons of clamping force. The machine is equipped with a MuCell system from Trexel Inc., for use by undergraduate students.
"We have a great deal of respect for the educational initiatives at the Plastics Engineering Technology Lab at Penn State Erie and we are quite happy that future plastics engineers are gaining hands-on knowledge via our Mars machine," said Glenn Frohring, president of Absolute Haitian, based in Worcester, Mass.
Frohring said more Haitian customers are showing interest in the MuCell system.
