DELANO, MINN. — Sil-Pro LLC now has the ability to produce tooling and functional prototype silicone or thermoplastic parts within three to five days.

The company, which recently completed a 25,000-square-foot expansion, will be able to expedite requests, especially from a medical customer, to go from print to prototype, according to Brian Higgins, vice president of sales and marketing.

Sil-Pro also invested in a five-axis high-speed machining cell to help its 24/7 production.

Once an engineer submits a solid model, Sil-Pro evaluates the model and provides a final quote. Once the quote is approved, the tool-building can be completed within two days and molded prototype parts in two to three days, according to the company.
