THESPROTIA, GREECE — Coca-Cola Hellenic, the Greek division of Coca-Cola, has invested in a 10 percent stake in a new PET recycling plant in Thesprotia.

The plant, opened by Filia Environmental Industries, will produce 100 percent recycled plastic flake from used PET bottles.

This material will then be used for a range of products such as plastic film, geotextiles and plastic fibers. The plant will reprocess 12,000 metric tons of PET bottles per year.
