SRG Global Inc. will benefit from an $800,000 training program from the state of Missouri to Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff to help with worker training.
The funding is part of Missouri’s Community College Job Retention Training Program, which is designed to keep and develop jobs in the state. It is targeted at the workers at SRG’s Portageville, Mo., plant, the college noted in a June 6 news release.
The grant requires businesses to make “substantial capital investments” in their operations to qualify for the training, but Warren, Mich.-based SRG has not specified what expenditures will be involved.
The training will take place during the next four years.
SRG specializes in chrome-plated plastic parts for the automotive, truck and household-appliance industries.
