Roger Kipp, who recently retired from McClarin Plastics and is now a consultant specializing in business development strategy, will deliver the keynote address at the Society of Plastics Engineers' Extrusion Minitec.

Titled "Starting our Innovation Engine," Kipp will investigate "innovation engineering," which he describes as "the systematic approach for organizations to develop a commitment to a cultural change that is strategic, continuous and energized for the development of new products, technologies, process improvements, and sales growth. The most successful companies globally are those with visionary, energized leaders who have created an innovative culture within their organization."

The one-day technical conference will take place Sept. 12 in Atlanta. The event is collocated with the SPE Thermoforming Division's annual conference.

Newtown, Conn.-based SPE has honored Kipp with the 2002 Outstanding Achievement Award, a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003, the Honored Service Member Award in 2008, and the Thermoformer of the Year Award in 2010.
