Davis-Standard LLC and Guangdong Jinming Machinery Co. Ltd have signed collaboration agreements that aim to help both companies expand global footprint.

Jinming has been appointed as sales representative for the Davis-Standard blown film product line in Asian markets, while Davis-Standard has become the exclusive distributor of Jinming’s blown film product line in Europe (including Russia and the European Union), Africa, Australia/New Zealand, and North and South Americas.

The companies are anticipating jointly developing products that will utilize the strengths of each company to benefit customers globally, said Fred Pereira, Davis-Standard’s president for the Asia-Pacific region.

Jinming, based in Shantou, celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this year. The public company announced last month a 70 million yuan ($11.4 million) acquisition of the majority shares of a local plastics and packaging machinery manufacturer.

Davis-Standard has a China sales office in Shanghai.
