Jer-Den Plastics Inc., a custom rotational molder based in St. Louis, Mich., plans to expand its manufacturing facility by early 2014.

The company is investing about $750,000 to build a 10,000-square-foot addition and equip it with additional staff and machinery, according to co-owner Jeff Stahl.

The existing 20,000-square-foot facility currently has three rotomolding machines. Jer-Den plans to add a fourth, Stahl said.

“We’ve seen a bit of an increase in sales here recently,” Stahl said in a phone interview. “We’re preparing for future growth.”

Jer-Den Plastics employs about 50 people and will add nine to 12 employees, Stahl said.
