DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY — OK, so no metaphysical fictional force was involved, but with 219,000 visitors at this year's K show in Düsseldorf, how does a company like Formech draw visitors to the far side of Hall 4 when there is so much to see? Maybe by drawing on its history. The company supplied a vacuum forming machine to one of the original designs for Star Wars and echoed its use there for its in-booth production.

It was far from the only company at K trying to entice visitors to stop and linger.
