Automa SpA, the Italian maker of extrusion blow molding and injection stretch blow molding machinery, introduced its Synthesi extrusion blow molder at K 2013.

The Synthesi EMB-PRO is a modular machine, so that Automa can customize the configuration and number of shuttles. So you can increase production simply by adding shuttles, and fast tooling changes of about 60 minutes, the company said.

Automa is aiming the Synthesi at the dairy beverage, pharmaceutical, industrial drum, household and personal care markets.

Automa officials also announced an enhanced cooling technology, called ACS, for Advanced Cooling System. It allows a savings of 15-30 percent of cycle time, depending on the container’s wall thickness.

Automa is based in Bologna, Italy.
