Patrick Plastics Corp. and Brogan Manufacturing Inc. have entered into a partnership in an effort to boost and take advantage of each other's capabilities.
"We're not really changing anything. What it does is make both companies stronger. It expands our customer bases and gives us different areas for our customers and allows us to serve them better," said Shawn Healy, owner of Patrick Plastics Corp, during a conference call.
He said that he and Mike Brogan, owner of Brogan Manufacturing, each bought a 49 percent share in each other's company and they will retain all 25 current employees.
Patrick Plastics has facilities in Elkhorn, Wis., and West Chicago, Ill. It will continue with its injection molding and fabrication processes in both locations.
Brogan, also in Elkhorn, has worked with Patrick for 15 years producing machined plastic components and parts. That relationship will continue.
Patrick Plastics, which started in 2001, does machining, injection molding and acrylic fabrication. It also does its own tooling at the West Chicago site. Brogan, which started in 1985, has CNC milling and turning equipment as well as 15 Brown & Sharp screw machines.
Brogan and Healy said the partnership will open opportunities to offer more services to customers.
