The second auction in a month of recycling equipment in Canada is slated for April 3.
Greenline Resins Inc.’s assets in Woodstock, Ontario, will be auctioned by Hilco Industries of Toronto. A source familiar with the sale said it does not relate to bankruptcy or receivership but could provide no other details. Officials at Greenline did not respond to an interview request.
A March 6 auction sold off, recycling assets of sheet extruder DMX Plastics Ltd. of Brampton, Ontario.
Greenline says it has more than 50 years of recycling experience. Assets are located in a 116,000-square-foot building with a rail siding. About a hundred lots are listed for the sale, which will also be conducted online by BidSpotter.com.
Equipment for sale includes NRM pelletizer/extruder and pelletizing line, Kason vibratory separator, Kongskilde pump and vacuum systems, Murphy dust collector, chillers, granulators, blenders, air compressors, Battenfeld injection molding machines, storage silo and resin trailer.
A recent study commissioned by the Canadian Plastics Industry Association indicated post-consumer plastics recycling rates grew 10 percent in 2012, although there was plenty of underutilized capacity in some recycling categories.
