MUMBAI, INDIA — Galata Chemicals is adding staff at its Mumbai technical center, which opened in 2012.

“We are planning to add five to six more people at the center in 2014,” said Anand P. Gokhale, director of research and development, at the Vinyl India conference in Mumbai.

Galata also has tech centers in the United States and Germany.

“Our technical center’s objective is to develop products for the India market as well as providing assistance to the other two centers,” Gokhale said.

Peter Frenkel, global director of technology and innovation, said the company will bring calcium-based stabilizers for PVC to India.
