The Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors (MAPP) recently sent out its 2014 MAPP wage and salary survey to member and non-member plastics companies requesting their participation.
More than 250 companies took part in the 2013 survey, which tracked information on wages, salaries, benefits, and other employment-related policies.
“We expect the number of participating companies to grow this year creating solid and invaluable results for the industry,” said Troy Nix, MAPP executive director. “The data from this survey will allow companies to see what it takes to be more competitive in the labor market helping ensure that they are able to attract and retain quality employees that will help their business succeed. The information will assist management in making decisions when negotiating salaries and benefits with potential and existing employees.”
The survey covers more than 50 job classifications representing both hourly and salaried employees from plastics- and rubber-related manufacturing firms in the United States.
The survey will close on June 20. Results are scheduled to be revealed in July.
