Germany-based extrusion equipment manufacturer, Gneuss Kunstofftechnik GmbH, has announced it has started work on new buildings to provide another 2,400 square meters of space for production and administration.
This will increase the current production areas for Gneuss extruders, filtration systems and measurement sensors by 50 percent, says the company.
Gneuss attributes its growth to its innovative product range and says an important market is polyester processing, especially where recycled material is used.
Gneuss says demand for its products has also increased in other areas such as in polyolefin recycling, in fiber and sheet manufacturing, the compounding of special materials and foam sheet and insulation board manufacturing.
Gneuss purchased an additional 13,000 square meters of land adjacent to its existing site in Bad Oeynhausen, to ensure that there is sufficient room available for expansion. The company states that it will provide an extra 700 square meters by adding a floor on top of the administration building and that a new building will be constructed on the former parking lot.
Gneuss says it plans to have the building work completed and the new offices and production areas in use by the end of the year.
