Financial executives too often go unrecognized for their role in the development of a successful plastics processing company. When processors make headlines for acquisitions or for selling a business, when a company has a successful financial year, or when profits are sustained even in a down economy, a senior financial professional is normally making a major impact within the organization.
Plastics News is pleased to recognize the contributions of these underrated heroes of plastics. Plastics News’ CFO of the Year Award honors the top individuals in senior management at plastics processing companies based in North America.
These individuals will be recognized during Plastics News’ Financial Summit, June 6-7 in Chicago, and also in a special section of Plastics News following the conference.
Members of Plastics News along with an independent panel of judges will select winners based on excellence in financial or other corporate operational management and their contributions to the community. Nominees can include, but are not limited to, CFOs, vice presidents of finance, controllers, finance directors and managers, group accountants and financial analysts.
Nominations are open to all plastics processing companies in North America.
Nominations are encouraged from processing companies of all types, size and revenue. Awards are presented to individuals representing public and private entities.
Candidate must be a senior financial executive at a plastics processing or supplier company that is headquartered in North America. Companies must derive at least 50 percent of their sales from plastics-related components. The award is open to any company that produces parts, equipment or material for the plastics market.
Titles would include Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, Finance Director, and Financial Controller, Chief Accountant or similar titles.
Candidate must have assumed current position on or before Jan. 1, 2016.
Nominations are judged by members of Plastics News along with an independent panel of professional financial practitioners, top plastics executives and members of government or academia. Consideration is given, but not limited, to leadership, ethics, business growth, strategic transactions, challenges met and industry/civic contributions.
