Dow and Teknor Apex working together on flexible PVC
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (Jan. 31, 2012) -- Materials firms Dow Chemical Co. and Teknor Apex Co. are working together to make flexible PVC compounds using Dow’s bio-based plasticizers. Teknor already has sent one shipment of the new compounds from its Pawtucket plant. The products also may be made at Teknor’s other U.S. plants as well as in plants in England and China.

Mexico's plastics sector grew 10 percent in 2011
MEXICO CITY (Jan. 31, 2012) -- Mexico’s plastics industry grew 10 percent to just over $20 billion in 2011. But an industry official noted the lack of government support. “The industry would grow much faster if there were. Even Taiwan, an island 245 miles long, builds more machinery than we do.”

Keyuan building ABS plant in Guangxi

Sabic signs cooperation deal with Sinopec
