Japan's Tanaka and Teijin make bioplastic eyeglasses

Beijing Beipeng purchases XPS extrusion line

BEIJING (September 1, 2009) -- Beipeng New Building Materials Co. Ltd. is the first customer in China for an expandable polystyrene foam board extrusion line from machinery maker KraussMaffei Berstorff. Beijing-based Beipeng will use the ZE75/KE250 Schaumtandex line to produce thermal insulation boards.

China's M-Tex adds support staff in U.S.
DONGGUAN, CHINA (September 1, 2009) -- Chinese mold-texturing firm M-Tex Co. Ltd. has added sales and technical support staff in Youngstown, Ohio, and Detroit -- to beef up support in the U.S. for projects being manufactured in China.

Reifenhäuser GmbH purchases Kiefel film machinery business
TROISDORF, GERMANY (September 1, 2009) -- Reifenhäuser GmbH & Co. KG Maschinenfabrik has extended its extrusion technology base by acquiring blown film machinery maker Kiefel Extrusion GmbH for undisclosed terms. Reifenhäuser Managing Director Ulrich Reifenhäuser said in a telephone interview that the extrusion machinery business is a tough one in the current economic climate.
