By Steve Toloken
PLASTICS NEWS

YULIN, CHINA (October 26, 2009) -- China’s Yulin Energy and Chemical Co. Ltd. has signed a licensing agreement with Ineos Technologies for polypropylene and polyethylene factories it plans to build in Shaanxi province, China.

Yulin will license the Innovene PP’ and Innovene S processes from Ineos for a 300,000 metric tonne PP plant and a 300,000 ton high density and medium density PE factory, respectively, according to an Oct. 21 statement from Lyndhurst, England-based Ineos.

Both factories, to be located outside Yulin, are expected to be operational in 2013, Ineos said. It is the seventh Innovene PP and the fifth Innovene S facilities Ineos has licensed in China. Yulin Energy is a unit of Yanchang Petroleum Group Co.
