Dr. Robin Kent, founder and managing director of U.K.-based consulting engineers Tangram Technology Ltd., is a specialist in this field. In this workshop, he will draw on 36 years of plastics processing experience to help unravel some of the mysteries of good energy-management practices for processors of all types.
Kent has helped countless plastics companies to better understand the energy usage in their production plants, starting with where, when, why and how energy is being consumed. He helps managers establish practical measures in the areas of motivation and training, basic machine usage and setting, and performance recording. He offers tips for reducing energy use in utilities such as water, compressed air and general building services, and for purchasing energy most effectively.
