Plastics News soon will present its 13th Processor of the Year Award to one of three finalist companies Freelin-Wade Co., an Oregon maker of plastic tubing and hose; Wisconsin-based custom injection molder Plastic Components Inc.; and PolyPipe Inc., a polyethylene pipe extruder headquartered in Texas. The winner will be announced March 3 at PN's 2009 Executive Forum in Summerlin, Nev. [Read the full story from our Jan. 5, 2009, issue and see both print and video coverage of last year's winners.]
Nominees are put through a rigorous vetting process by a judging committee comprising PN editorial members, and senior reporter Bill Bregar then visits each finalist's headquarters to get a first-hand look at the company and meet its executives and workers.
