NEWTON FALLS, OHIO (Nov. 20, 10:05 a.m. ET) -- Injection molder Venture Plastics, Inc. has invested about $600,000 in new presses for its plants in Newton Falls and El Paso, Texas.
The expansion is the result of new business according to President Steve Trapp.
“We are currently operating three full shifts five to six days a week,” he said in a news release.
The 45,000-square-foot Newton Falls plant added two electric Arburg presses — with 165 tons and 220 tons of clamping force — plus a 390-ton Mitsubishi hydraulic press. All the new systems have RJG EDarts for process control and monitoring.
The 48,000-square-foot El Paso plant added a 150-ton Toyo electric machine.
The company has also spent more than $50,000 on training with RJG in 2009, and Venture recently hired Joe Ortiz as its production manager.
Key end markets for the company include industrial/consumer, major appliance, truck/agriculture, automotive, fuel delivery, and communications.
