Recruiting firm offers job postings

FRANKLIN, TENN. (Feb. 12, 4:35 p.m. ET) -- A job recruiting firm that focuses exclusively on the plastics and packaging industries has decided to offer companies free job postings on its Web site.

“We are offering our clientele an opportunity to post job employment ads on our site at no charge for a specified period of time,” said Dennis Gros, president of Gros Executive Recruiters.

“We are busting the traditional model of pay-for-posting online advertising because it no longer makes sense” as search engines, according to Gros, equalize the exposure of job ads on the more than 27,000 job boards now in existence.

Gros said that he expects his free job posting approach, which went into effect Jan. 6, will yield new contacts, additional networking opportunities and drive additional Web traffic to his site.

Besides, he said, “If they don’t fill the job quickly by posting on the Internet, they probably need the assistance of a professional recruiter — and here we are.”
