a) Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. will acquire Hayfield, Minn.-based Century Plastics Inc., a corrugated HDPE pipe maker. ADS also announced plans to open two new corrugated pipe plants in Canada.
b) CertainTeed Corp. plans to close its Waco, Texas, plant this year.
c) North American Pipe Corp.’s sales data does not reflect the March 2009 acquisition of a Janesville, Wis., plant from now-defunct Freedom Plastics Inc.
d) Private equity firms Oaktree Capital Management LP of Los Angeles and Avenue Capital Group of New York acquired controlling interest in Tekni-Plex Inc. in 2008, as part of that firm’s restructuring.
e)Eaton Fluid Power Group is now listed under Eaton Corp., as the parent company has realigned its business segments.
f) To avoid permanent plant shutdowns, Cantex Inc. has implemented a system of shutting down plants on a temporary, rotating basis.
g) Filtrona plc sold its North American Filtrona Extrusion business to Saw Mill Capital Partners, for $115 million.
h) Fiber Composites LLC merged with Sensibuilt Building Solutions LLC, joining their assets and brands. Manufacturing of Sensibuilt’s PVC cellular decking will continue to be outsourced. Pegasus Capital Advisors, which owned a majority share of Sensibuilt, invested in Fiber Composites and retains a minority interest in the post-merger company.
i) Mitsubishi Corp. recently acquired four former Lamson & Session Co. extrusion plants from Thomas & Betts Corp. and formed its Prime Conduit Inc. division.
j) Silver-Line Plastics Corp. recently acquired a Fort Pierce, Fla., plant from defunct Freedom Plastics Inc.
k) Boreflex Industries Inc. recently bought three former Lamson & Sessions Co. extrusion plants from Thomas & Betts Corp.
l) Gracious Living Corp. purchased the plastic profiles extrusion business and assets of the former CPI Plastics Group Ltd., and is operating the new unit as Gracious Living Innovations Inc.
m) In January, ProVia Door Inc. bought the assets of three Mississippi building-products operations from Jancor Cos. Inc. Jancor shut all its plants in late 2008 and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. ProVia has operated Heartland Siding in Booneville, Miss., since January 2009, and Outdoor Technologies Inc. in Macon, Miss., since February. ProVia sold majority interest of OTI which makes fence, deck and railing to Loren Graber of Bremen, Ind. As part of the deal, Graber also manages Heartland for ProVia, which has no plans to reopen the third Mississippi plant, in Olive Branch.
n) In 2008, Armtec Infrastructure Income Fund acquired Bruce Tile Inc. of Walkerton, Ontario; and two corrugated pipe extrusion lines from Oxford Plastics Inc. of Embro, Ontario.

p) Euramax Canada Inc. previously was listed as GSW Building Products Inc.
q) Fortis Plastics LLC represents the former extrusion business of Atlantis Plastics Molded Products Group, acquired by Monomoy Capital Partners LP in 2008
r) Acrylon Plastics Inc. was previously listed as sister firm, Western Profiles Ltd.
s) Parker Hannifin Canada was previously listed as Nexgen Hose Inc., the firm was acquired November 2008.
t) Fukuvi USA Inc. extrusion sales cover the fiscal period from April 1 through December 20, 2008.
