    Sadara to supply materials for major Saudi automotive project

    Saudi chemical company Sadara and Saudi National Automobiles Manufacturing Co. (SNAM) have signed a cooperation agreement for the supply of speciality chemicals and plastics for SNAM's planned automotive manufacturing cluster in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

    Action Fabricators buys CSI Medical

    Private-equity owned Action Fabricators Inc. of Grand Rapids, Mich., purchased CSI Medical Inc., a contract manufacturer in Gallatin, Tenn., for an undisclosed sum and will operate it as a wholly owned subsidiary.

    Updated — Beaumont Technologies Inc. has acquired Autodesk Moldflow's North American material characterization assets and technologies that boost the Erie, Pa., company's ability to provide material characterization for Moldflow's injection molding simulation programs. The deal also fits into Beaumont Technologies' American Injection Molding Institute and education programs.

    New report looks at investment strategies for plastic-free seas

    The Washington-based Ocean Conservancy says waste management in Asia Pacific countries is one key to reducing plastics pollution in the oceans — it estimates that better practices for collecting and sorting trash in that region could cut in half the amount of plastic that get into oceans by 2025.
