b) Private equity firms Apollo Management LP and Graham Partners acquired Berry Plastics Corp. in fall 2006. Berry announced in March 2007, that it will enter flexible packaging by merging with Bedminster, N.J.-based Covalence Specialty Materials Holding Corp., formerly Tyco Plastics and Adhesives. The merged company will be called Berry Plastics Group Inc.

s) Silgan White Cap Americas previously was listed as Silgan Closures LLC. The name was changed after Silgan Holdings acquired Amcor Ltd.’s White Cap closures businesses in China, the Philippines and Venezuela.
t) In 2006 Medical Action Industries Inc. of Hauppauge, N.Y., acquired Medegen Medical Products, comprising plants in Northglenn, Colo., and Galloway, Tenn. Medical Action has said it will close the Northglenn site in summer 2007 and consolidate those operations into Galloway.
u) A&E Products Group LP was acquired in 2006 by Mainetti Group of Secaucus, N.J.

x) Private Swiss company Habasit Holding AG boosted its stake in plastic conveyor-belt production with the purchase of publicly held Summa Industries. The former Summa operation is now listed as Habasit Holding USA Inc.
y) Century Mold Co. Inc. recently acquired a plant in Chihuahua, Mexico, from Creative Engineered Polymer Products LLC.
z) Moll Industries Inc.’s sales reflect its downsizing after ending its relationship with Whirlpool Corp.
