Sabic names Al-Benyan acting CEO

The Saudi Basic Industries Corp.'s board of directors has appointed Yousef Abdullah Al-Benyan as acting CEO, succeeding Mohamed Al-Mady who has been named president of the general establishment for military industries in Saudi Arabia.

Sabic gets cracking on US shale gas imports

Saudi Basic Industries Corp. is modifying its cracker at Teesside, England, to handle shale gas imported from the United States. The $15 million cracker upgrade to use shale gas-based feedstock is scheduled to be completed during 2016.

Sabic and Korea's SK set up $600 million metallocene JV
